Mr. drs. T.F. Westenbroek

Tomas Westenbroek is a lecturer at the Institute for Information Law (IViR) in the courses Information Law and Intellectual Property  and International Intellectual Property Law. Tomas has been working as a legal officer and before that as a trademark examiner at the Benelux-Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP) in The Hague since 1997. He holds degrees from the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (MA) and Leiden University (LL.M.). Before joining the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and IViR in 2021 he had been lecturing IP since 2013 at the VU Amsterdam in the courses IP, Design and Branding, International IP Law and IP in the Information Society. Thinking about trademarks is his favourite pastime.
