With new legislation on geographical indications (GIs), the European Union has further developed and enhanced the scope of protection in this area. Next to the traditional focus on agricultural products and foodstuffs, craft and industrial products have entered the EU arena.
In this seminar, we discuss these aspects of the new legislation against the background of the theory of the commons and GI-related governance controversies.<\/p>\n<\/div>
