De nieuwe uitgave ‘De Europese informatierechtsorde<\/a>‘ van Egbert Dommering is vanaf nu verkrijgbaar. De boekpresentatie vindt plaats op het Instituut voor Informatierecht, Nieuwe Achtergracht 166 in Amsterdam van 16.00 \u2013 18.30 uur.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Het internet groeit en schept de voorwaarden voor communicatie, die geen scherpe scheiding meer maakt tussen openbaar en priv\u00e9. Sociale media, zoekmachines en apps zijn daardoor de grootste ondernemingen op de informatiemarkt geworden. Alles draait daarbij om het gebruik van (personen) data. Ook de overheid gebruikt steeds meer data om macht uit te oefenen. Persoonsgegevens zijn het nieuwe sturingsmechanisme van een ge\u00efndividualiseerde samenleving. We spreken van een \u2018gedataficeerde\u2019 samenleving.<\/p>\n

Dommering beschrijft in zijn boek de belangrijke omwenteling die als gevolg hiervan de afgelopen tien jaar heeft plaatsgevonden op het gebied van het informatierecht.  Meer dan ooit zijn media, telecommunicatie, privacy, intellectuele eigendom en vrijheid van meningsuiting samenhangende gebieden geworden.<\/p>\n

‘De Europese informatierechtsorde’ schetst aan de hand van rechtspraak (ca. 300 uitspraken), de belangrijkste nationale en Europese wetswijzigingen en de belangrijkste discussies in de vakliteratuur van de laatste tien jaar, hoe de veranderingen een heel rechtsgebied op zijn kop hebben gezet.<\/p>\n
