The winning stories will be revealed during the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpdpconferences.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CPDP 2026 conference<\/a>\u00a0in Brussels on 19-22 May.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-lightest-grey-background-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The sixth shortlisted story is now live on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/digi-con.org\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/digi-con.org\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ivir-red-color\">DigiCon<\/mark><\/a>.<br>It is called &#8220;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/digi-con.org\/mine-the-final-ascent\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/digi-con.org\/mine-the-final-ascent\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ivir-red-color\"><strong>Mine &#8211; The Final Ascent<\/strong><\/mark><\/a><\/em>&#8221; and was written by Titia van der Werf, Lewis van der Werf &amp; Marianne van der Werf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Set in the North Sea Province in 2075, it follows Agnes and her AI companion Zoomer through a world where personal wellbeing is managed, medicated, and monitored by a handful of powerful oligarchs.
