Prof. Dr. Senftleben currently holds the chair of Intellectual Property <a href=\"https:\/\/research.vu.nl\/en\/persons\/martin-senftleben\">at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam<\/a>, where he teaches and conducts research mainly in the fields of copyright law and trademark law.<\/p>\n<p>In 2004 he received his doctorate from the University of Amsterdam for his ground-breaking thesis on <a href=\"https:\/\/lrus.wolterskluwer.com\/store\/product\/copyright-limitations-and-the-three-step-test\/\">Copyright, Limitations and the Three-Step Test<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Senftleben will start his professorship at IViR on 1 February 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>15 November 2019<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 29 October 2019, Martin Senftleben was appointed full professor of Information Law (Intellectual Property Law Aspects of the Information Society), at the University of Amsterdam.
