The Institute for Information Law organizes an annual intensive post-graduate course on international copyright law and policy. The face of copyright law and policy changes continuously, mostly due to the constant evolution of the digital networked environment and the legislative initiatives at the international and European level. As a result, copyright professionals must keep abreast of the applicable rules and policy initiatives, including those deriving from the international treaties and the various European directives in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course will extend over a period of five days from June 29 to July 3, 2026<\/strong>. Please consult the program<\/a> for details on the seminars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enrollment is limited to 25 participants.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goals of the course:<\/strong>
At the conclusion of the course, participants will have gained valuable insight in the most crucial current issues of copyright law, examined from a comparative law perspective and in the light of recent international and regional agreements. Participants in the course will also have access to comprehensive course materials, consisting of the most relevant international, European and American legislative documents, case law, and other background materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lectures are given by internationally renowned scholars<\/a>, including those of the Institute for Information Law, and practitioners who all share years of academic and practical experience in the field of international copyright law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Timing and location:<\/strong>
The course will extend over a five-day period from June 29 to July 3, 2026<\/strong> <\/strong>at the Roeterseiland campus – building P<\/a>, Plantage Muidergracht 24, 1018 TV, Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intended audience:<\/strong>
The course is aimed at lawyers, academics and other professionals involved in questions of copyright law. The course is taught at the post-graduate level. Participants should  have some prior knowledge of the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certificate \/ NOvA credits:<\/strong>
At the close of the course, each participant will receive a Certificate indicating completion of the programme. Dutch lawyers can also obtain NOvA credits (see here <\/a>for instructions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fee:<\/strong>
The tuition fee includes the course participation and seminar materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
