This initiative aims to enhance the Institute\u2019s global inclusivity, foster scholarly exchange, and align with broader goals of equitable access to academic opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Application Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants requesting financial support must submit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CV<\/strong>\u00a0including a list of publications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Motivation letter<\/strong>\u00a0(max. 2 pages), outlining:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research background and proposal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proposed visit timeframe<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reasons for choosing IViR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether a formal invitation is required (e.g., for visa purposes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One letter of recommendation (max 1 page)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Short explanation\u00a0<\/strong>of why the applicant cannot fund the visit otherwise and requires IViR Foundation support, accompanied by a<strong>\u00a0draft budget\u00a0<\/strong>(flight, accommodation, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Financial Support Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Annual Lump Sum of up to \u20ac3,000 per Scholar<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provided to support travel, accommodation in Amsterdam, and subsistence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholars are encouraged to secure\u00a0<strong>complementary funding<\/strong>\u00a0where possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Application Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applications\u00a0<strong>must be submitted by 1 October\u00a0<\/strong>to the following email:<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:visitingscholars-ivir@uva.nl\">visitingscholars-ivir@uva.nl<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Important:<\/strong>\u00a0Please indicate the country of the academic institution at which you are based directly in the email subject line, using the following template:\u00a0<em>\u201cIVIR Scholarship Application \u2013 [APPLICANT&#8217;S\u00a0COUNTRY]\u201d<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The selected candidate will be notified\u00a0<strong>by 15 December<\/strong>, allowing planning for a research stay in the following calendar year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that reasons will not be provided for unsuccessful applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.
