Leon Trapman started the Research Master Information Law in September 2016. His interests include freedom of expression, protection of journalists and data protection.
Leon commenced his studies at the Radboud University Nijmegen in 2012, where he achieved his bachelor’s degree in Dutch law with honour. He studied at the Freie Universität Berlin for one year, where he followed courses on for example E-Commerce Law, Data Privacy Law and Theory of Law. During his master’s he studied at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City for a semester. Amongst others, he followed the courses Media Law, First Amendment and Privacy Law.
During his studies, Leon was on the editorial board of the legal magazine Ars Aequi. Moreover, he followed the Radboud University’s disciplinary honours programme Law Extra and worked as an intern at law firm Bird & Bird in The Hague.
