Curriculum Vitae

|
Wouter Hins is an Associate Professor of
Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University
of Amsterdam and Professor by special appointment of
Media Law at Leiden University. He takes a special
interest in human rights and mass communication. In
1991, he was awarded his doctorate by the UvA for his
thesis, 'Ontvangstvrijheid en buitenlandse omroep'
('Freedom of
Reception and Foreign Broadcasting').
Furthermore, he is a
member of the complaints committees of the Commissariaat
voor de Media (Dutch Media Authority), the Nederlandse
Publieke Omroep (Netherlands Public Broadcasting) and
the Ministry of VWS (Health, Welfare and Sport). He is
also an editor of the journal Mediaforum and
responsible for the quarterly column, 'Mediarecht'
(Media Law), in Ars Aequi.
