Curriculum Vitae

Piter de Weerd graduated from the University of Amsterdam, where he specialized
in intellectual property law. Piter worked as a trademark attorney before
joining the IP departments of NautaDutilh and De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek,
the two mayor Dutch law firms, and subsequently KMVS, a specialized IP
boutique firm. He is the co-founder and general editor of the Dutch IP
website Boek9.nl, which has turned out to become the foremost daily
information source for Dutch IP professionals, students and interested
laymen. Piter is also an editor of AMI, a Dutch print journal about
copyright law. He joined the Institute for Information Law (IViR) at the
University of Amsterdam in 2011, where he is currently working as an editor
of the Kluwer European Copyright Case Law service.
