Collection of the speeches which were made during the ‘Contracts and (multi)media’ symposium which was organised by Stichting Auteursrechtmanifestaties on 19 November 1998. This collection of speeches discusses, inter alia, the question as to what influence the new technology has in the area of multimedia, such as Internet and CD-ROM, on already existing (standard) contracts and to what extent there is a need to revise or supplement these contracts and the agreements made therein (e.g. on the royalties to be paid to the entitled parties) or indeed to replace them with new contracts.

Commentary – for those people who are professionally involved with intellectual property law – on Article 25a of the Copyright Act, concerning the term ‘surviving dependants’ set out in Paragraph 6 of the Copyright Act (in Articles 19, 20 and 21 of the Copyright Act, which are dedicated to rights relating to representations of personal likenesses): the parents, spouse or registered partner and the children of the deceased whose likeness is represented in some way.
